Camera versus phone - night street

Sometimes I wonder whether a dedicated camera is needed.  The two pictures were taken minutes apart, on the same street, one with a camera, one with a cell-phone. Of course my answer is for sure we need dedicated cameras, for the flexibility and features. But really, these two pictures show exactly the opposite, the two pictures are both good.  I like the second one even better, for the perspective of the picture. That one was taken by the phone.
