There never seems to be an exact right way of doing B/W.  I found it more and more intriguing to do it right.  I'm now more convinced that a picture has to be treated right from the start for it to be finally in black and white.  The whole process should be different if the picture is to be done in color -- converting it from color to B/W is a whole different story.
