Aerial View over Maple Ridge, BC, Canada |
Not a bad picture considering this was taken out of a commercial flight with a cell phone. I took it to record the GPS information, and then look up the place in Google earth. Interesting how ordinary everyday technology went so far.... The cell phone camera captures >5M native, I cropped it to 4.8M. I post processed the file just like it was from a regular modern digital camera. I used the GPS date to identify the location of the phone, but considering the altitude, and the angle of view, the actual place photographed was some 20km away. I used Google earth to look up the scene in order to identify the place in the photo.
