A brief lapse of traffic in the busy intersection

A color rendition of this picture would have been too cluttered with vary shades of red and blue vying for attention.   A black and white version is much better in focusing reader attention to the geometric shapes and patterns.  This was just a snapshot of a busy thoroughfare and thus there were lots of distracting elements.....  I waited for the traffic to halt to allow these pedestrians to roam the space, for a full 5 minutes.... lucky me....
