Mono-color |
I was being creative here, but for the sake of solving a problem. The picture was taken under the heavy shade of several huge trees, and the color balance was set to auto and the exposure was measured off the green fungus on the rock. The brown leaves turned out a bit too red, or at least not reflecting what I remembered the true color was. Maybe the color in the picture was correct, I just didn't get it "right". If there had been rain, and the leaves were soaked, the brown would have turned into a mushy dark clay-like color. I could not pull myself together to like the color of the dry, crunchy dead leaves, so I desaturated the colors other than the green of the fungus on the rock. I would rather call myself lazy rather than creative. Maybe I should have darken the desaturated leaves too......... You can never spent too much time fiddling with a picture........
