Worker at the shipyard

B/W pictures aren't easy -- it isn't a matter of just clicking a button in Lightroom and hoping that everything comes out as planned.  Maybe I was looking too long at the original color version, I can still see the colors of his face!!  He was taking a rest and was attracted by something afar, and was somewhat amused.  His weathered face is clear evidence that work at the shipyard is nothing short of harsh, especially in this ungodly weather.  It was hot and sultry and dirty and dangerous beneath the hulls of these fishing boats, and working at the mostly upside down surfaces was back-breaking, to say the least...... I was sweating all over and inside out after a brief visit to the yard, and man, I could not imagine working here day in and day out. But photographing these tough souls was a joy........
