City Life |
This is paradoxical that there was this real tree and this tree-hugging practice of promoting the use of bicycles, and yet the city dwellers could only look at the wide expanse through a giant poster, with rolling white clouds against the blue sky. We want the convenience of civilization, of proximity to everyday life, yet we dream of the nothingness of open space and the freedom of floating in emptiness. It's like running around the city on the weekdays to earn enough to get to an upscale cottage in the weekend in order to "get away from it all".
