On the double |
When photography was still a relatively young form of art, photographers tended to look for the basic graphics elements in their pure form, and these pictures were once "popular". I had been awe-struck by a lot of similar pictures. Then I realized, with trained eyes, careful compositions, correct exposures, purposeful post-processing, I could be simulating these. Of course, the digital age has a lot to do with opening up the possibilities. First and foremost, I am able to post-process the pictures -- something I was not able to do with film (or to be exact, much more difficult after I lost the access to the darkroom after university).
