I'd never taken any photography courses, I learn as I plug along. I was taking pictures, on and off, for the last 40 years, not too seriously most of the time. I read books and visit exhibitions. I must be watching too many exhibitions of salon photography, I imitated a lot of those photo exhibits. I belief this picture is influenced by some picture I'd seen before, and thus I would not claim originality of the idea. But man, this is one good capture! The long shadows from the low sun, the varied lane markings on the road, the two opposing cars, what else can you ask for.
