True fall colors?

To those who are not into fall colors, this picture looks like a shot of a pile of garbage.  To those who love the colors created by nature, this is a study of the boundless hues of fall color.  This picture was taken in a shaded area amidst a deep forest, and thus it is very difficult to determine the "right" color temperature.  On the other hand, the actual color on your monitor likely is very different from mine, and right now, I'm using an uncalibrated screen of a laptop computer, and the color is awful.  It is way offf from the color I had in mind when I was taking this picture.  The only way to render the "true" colors of this picture, I believe, is to have a print of this picture.  With a print, right or wrong, at least there is a reference to start with. 
Digital pictures can be so unreal!
