What makes a good photo? I like the look of this small shack in a remote fishing village in southern China, I like its primitive structure and the worn out walls made from tree barnches. The foundation had been washed out, giving it the lean which just added to the rustic feeling of the whole thing. But have I successfully conveyed the same feeling to the audience? No. I tried to show this to friends (together with other pictures in the same series) and there were no interest aroused, no eyebrow raised, no comments made. Hmm.... not a good picture. But do I still like this picture, yes. So what gives?
It is difficult to stimulate the taste bud or smell sensory through pictures.

Afterall, it is a real scene!
