Gas Works park, Seattle |
These ladies were practicing walking tight ropes here in Gas Works Park, in a sunny afternoon. The structures were once a gas refinery plant, and the rust and aging marks were natural, they were part of the aesthetics of this industrial-wasteland-turn-amenity project. I didn't ask why they were practicing here, whether they did acrobatics as a profession, or..... I was just interested in capturing the moment when they were at their full attention with their act, the Seattle downtown running their business in the far background, and the sun pouring its warmth all over those who were there enjoying the afternoon -- the weather in Seattle is mostly drizzly for most of the year, with a relatively short summer, this definitely was one of the finer days there.
