Blogger broke my blogging streak!

I was on a continuous blogging streak for 142 days, never missing one single day, except yesterday when Blogger was down -- completely down!  Sigh.......

In a boring afternoon, I just peeked out of my window and picked up the camera and shot this and loaded it here.  A big problem with amateur photographers is that they thought that their emotions at the moment of capture count in the effectiveness of the picture, forgetting that what happened before, during and after taking the picture, and how you were feeling, and what you had been thinking and doing, had absolutely nothing to do with the picture.  The picture is just what it is, those graphic elements, light and color and shadow, forms and shapes and texture, and the compositions of them in the rectangular frame --- that's all the audiences can see, and from there they have to interpret the picture, but NOTHING more. The photographer must also look at a photo the same way as their audiences, and see if they are able to invoke to the audiences the same feeling within themselves, through the photo, and the photo only.
