Tiananmen Square, Beijing |
There's no other way but a panorama to show the vastness of this huge square - it is in fact the largest city square in the world. I was standing at the Tian'an Gate which is also the entrance to the Imperial Palace. I was imagining a lot of things while standing there:- the inauguration of the People's Republic of China, the annual National Day parade, and so on. This is an amazing view, and everyone who visited the Imperial Palace should come up to the top of the Gate to see this!! This panorama was slapped together using a free software in full auto mode -- I should spend sometime to re-do this properly -- you'll laugh if you look into the details!! (Click on the image to see it bigger -- in fact, this applies to all the pictures in this blog.)
