A summer afternoon |
I think it must be me only, but when I stepped into the street and saw this, my attention went right to the crocked tree trunk against the bright background, and I knew I must take this picture. The street was in the shade, and I exposed for the bright blue sky. The very cluttered composition was then reduced to the dark foreground and the bright background, and the silhouette of the tree became prominent. The red traffic light, the yellow lines on the ground only added interest to the picture, but to my eyes, the main subject is still very outstanding.
