I've never tried this "vertical panorama" format before, it seemed to work with this picture here. In fact, this is my very first trial of this format. I believe this format didn't get its deserved popularity because of the difficulties involved -- the usually very high contrast could be one of them. And of course subject matter would be the most important determination factor. This format should be popular amongst Chinese as it is a very common format for Chinese paintings. Since this photo, I had several other attempts, with varying degree of success, and failure. Most of all, it's fun.
