Cosmopolitan London, where the ancient meets the modern. Here we have the unmistakable landmark of the city, the taxis. They are everywhere, except when you need one. They hog the streets, and they make every conceivable maneuvers because of their agility, and they are practical and roomy inside. Can't imagine the foresight put into the development of this one-and-only kind. On the other hand, London is always a fascinating place to visit, but I'm not sure of living there -- crowded and expensive.
