Flowers by the window
I am not a fan of macro photos of static objects, in particular flowers. It looks like a page from the orchid encyclopedia. But what the heck, I had a macro lens that I rarely used, we had this potted orchid sitting on the window sill, the afternoon sun was not that harsh, and I was admiring the beauty of the flowers, and I thought, "hmmm, instead of just watching it grow, I should have a bit of exercise". So tripods coming out of the bag, macros lens drawn from the drawer, camera loaded, black card on hand, and viola, this picture. There's a reason they call photography as one of the pastimes. Time flew with all the equipment set-up, loading and unloading, post-processing, and we are talking this all happened in the comfort of the home.
